Administrative Assistant 1


Under general direction of the Workforce Outcomes program manager, serves as a staff assistant performing a variety of non-recurring staff functions. Provides direct administrative support and assists in the planning, development and execution of program policies. Assists the Manager by making recommendations in the conceptualization, development and implementation of new programs, policies and procedures affecting the operations of the program. Serves as the main point-of-contact for Shared Data Agreements originating from educational institutions; organizes and coordinates meetings; assists Manager with research and coordination of grant applications; serves as timekeeper. Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years college, preferably with courses in public or business administration. Requires one year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or the completion of an agency approved professional management training program. Requires working knowledge of agency policies and procedures. Requires the ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in written form; perform program studies and prepare reports and recommendations; develop and maintain working relationships; to use a personal computer with associated software packages such as word processing, spreadsheets, database management and electronic mail.
